Wire Wrapping Jewellery Workshop
Join us for a relaxing morning learning to wire wrap your own unique handcrafted ‘Tree of Life’ pendant. Working in our 100sqm Craft barn you will enjoy the beautiful views from the large windows looking out onto the stunning Nottinghamshire countryside that lies ahead. Your talented tutor Jo will take you through the techniques of wiring step by step, so by the time you have finished, you will feel relaxed and content that you have not only made a treasured necklace to wear but learn a new craft too.
What you will learn:
The best way to work with copper and beads
A variety of techniques including wrapping, binding and twisting to achieve the desired result
The tools needed for different types, shapes, and gauges of wire
Confidence to work with the tools and materials

About your tutor Jo Fleming
An experienced jewellery designer/maker, Jo attending her first craft fair in 1989 with beaded jewellery, but for the last 15 years has predominantly used traditional silversmithing and wire wrapping techniques to create handcrafted pieces in sterling silver and copper, sometimes including semi-precious stones. Jo’s style is influenced by art nouveau, along with inspiration from the textures and shapes of the natural world.
To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 8.
(Please note: a minimum number of 4 bookings is required in order for the session to go ahead)
Suitable for children aged 16 years and over must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
