About the Course

Special super intense 3 hour beginning Spinning on a Spinning Wheel workshop. If you enjoy fast intensive get your hands dirty learning this is the workshop for you.

We will cover wool selection and prep, introduction to the wheel and wheel spinning ending up with plying and finishing your yarns.

Everything you need is provided but you are welcome to bring your own wheel if you feel more comfortable learning to spin on it.

£60 per guest, includes light snacks. All supplies provided.

You must have taken a Drop Spinning class from me or another teacher or have a working knowledge of drafting to get the most out of this class.

Suitable for ages 15 - 115, youth under 17 must be accompanied by adult.

Spinning on the Wheel

Parts, working of the wheel and different kinds and styles. How to pick a wheel. Transition from hand spinning to wheel spinning.
Wheel plying, Chain (Andean) plying. Basic trouble shooting and corrections.

Limited to 3 participants, reservation is essential.

Due to the focused natured required to cover all of the material we regret that pets or young children are not allowed to accompany parents to the workshop.
