About the Course

Make a traditional English longbow in Yew, using only traditional tools and methods. You will learn how to craft Yew into this important historical weapon.
Set in the south lakes in an Ancient woodland nature reserve, secluded yet only minutes away from shops, pubs and hotels.
This can be a physical course, especially on day one. But you will learn how to use ancient tools and devices and create a Longbow and string, as well as shoot it at the end of the course.
You will also learn the history behind the longbow and even the wildlife that surrounds us.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All tools and materials are included as well as a cosy fire and sumptuous amounts of tee and coffee and snacks. All you need is lunch which can be cooked on the fire or BBq.
