Toucans - Adults needle Felting workshop improver/intermediate



An adult needle felting workshop aimed at people who have needle felted before and are looking to learn a few new techniques. You don't have to be an expert, but you will have to have needle felted before be able to make basic firmly felted shapes to get the most out of this workshop. If you are new to needle felting, have a look on my events page for a beginners workshop. Tutor Natalie Harris (Brooks) is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. We will make a basic bird form from core wool (no armature in this one). We will discuss colour blending and the sculptural obstacles of making an animal that has exaggerated proportions. What's included in the price?

Tea and coffee will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch. All materials to make your cat are provided.

Natalie is a fine artist that has been using needle felting as a part of her practice since 2015. Natalie uses felting in both 2D and 3D works and has had work shown nationally including the RBSA, Society of Equestrian Artists and Wolverhampton Art Gallery. In 2017 she had work selected for the National Trust owned Beningbrough Hall's "Oh Wise Owl" sculpture trail. Last year she was selected for the "Character Portrait Project". She is also the creator of the fun and quirky Roly Poly Ponies.
