Description
Come along to a relaxed, untutored mixed pose life drawing session for all abilities in our purpose built studio. Draw Patreon Supporters and students are entitled to the £9 discounted rate What to Expect: A mixed pose session typically includes a range of poses from 3 minutes - 45 mins and we will be drawing from an unclothed model. There will be a short break for hot drinks and biscuits in the middle of the session. Toilets are available in the building. The studio is well equipped for artists, with easels and drawing boards available. Limited materials are on hand to use and paper can be purchased. You are welcome to bring your own art materials as well. The session will be facilitated by life drawing tutor, Lancelot Richardson, who will be on hand to provide assistance with your drawing. This session is for artists of any ability – beginners welcome! It is a drop in session, meaning that you can book ahead here, or arrive on the day and pay by contactless. Illness and Covid: Please do not attend this session if you have covid, flu, are otherwise infectious or showing similar symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, fever, etc. You will receive a refund as well as our appreciation! Just get in touch to let me know - you may also transfer the booking to another week if you prefer. The studio has an industrial grade air filter and is well ventilated with high ceilings. Please get in touch if you have any questions about the session! Model Pay: This session is run via the Draw Brighton studio and adheres to their basic model rates of £20/hr, including breaks. Draw also guarantees sick pay for life models. We believe it is important and ethical to compensate our models with a fair, living wage.

There are some materials available for anyone to use. Paper can be purchased on demand. Tea and coffee with biscuits is available in the break.

I am an artist based in Brighton, UK. I work with painting and printmaking, and my practise is heavily influed by drawing. I teach regular life drawing classes and run drop in sessions at Draw Brighton, as well as creating the content for their 34 week online life drawing course.
