About the Course

Learn how to make pots using a Potter’s Wheel. We’ll introduce you to the basics of throwing and guide you throughout the session – get started and keep going. You’ll practice throwing cylindrical pots and learn how to centre, open, collar, pull, shape, finish and wire off your finished work.

Throwing Experience for One
One-to-one tuition and practice time. At the end of the session you’ll be invited to select your best two pots and they’ll be fired and glazed ready for you to collect.

Throwing Experience for Two
You’ll each take a turn on the wheel. You’ll alternate between practicing how to throw and making pinch pots. At the end of the session you’ll each be invited to select your best four pots and they’ll be fired and glazed ready for you to collect.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
