The course will run over three days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday and we'll be making a self portrait in clay - working from mirrors, photos and 'sense of self'.
The course has been designed to provide a good balance between screen time and time working in your home or studio. The split week helps to mitigate 'zoom fatigue' - and provides an opportunity to either continue working or take a day's break.
This online sculpture workshop is best suited to those with a bit of experience - and you will need sufficient space, materials and equipment (listed below).
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
Comprehensive reference material provided in advance and during the course.
Live demonstrations and step by step guidance throughout.
Opportunities for group discussion and reviews.
An online gallery to share progress images of your work and to access course content and feedback.
A suitable space and surface for comfortable working – ideally a proper rotating sculpture stand.
Callipers for measuring.
Small wooden clay modelling tools.
Minimum 10Kg water-based, ordinary grey clay or other preferred modelling clay.
A spray bottle for moistening your work.
Access to water.
At least one mirror
