The idea behind this workshop is to paint a landscape in the fauvism manner but it is also an exercise in colour and tone to push the boundaries in your use of paint.
We will use the Fauve movement (France 1904-1908) as our inspiration. Looking at their dynamic use of colour in landscape painting will first make a sketch in the garden (if wet we will use your own previously done sketches) and then transform this into a fauvist work. It should be great fun! Ideally acrylic paint should be used for this course as it is quick drying.
What to bring - Acrylic paints.
