Description

Learn to create exciting intaglio prints with both Drypoint and TetraPak plates! This half day workshop is perfect for complete beginners, or for those needing a refresher or some time for creative development. What is TetraPak? It's packaging from cartons and can be cleaned and flattened to make the perfect printmaking plate. What is TetraPak printmaking? This is a form of intaglio printing similar to Drypoint, but using recycled materials to create gorgeous and unusual prints. You will be using an etching needle, other metal tools and craft knives to cut and scratch your design to create your unique printing plate. You'll be able to create a range of tones and line work to bring your image to life! You'll also learn how to use a printing press. This workshop is suitable for adults and those aged 16 years +. You're welcome to bring along your own designs and sketches, however this is not essential. To protect your clothes please bring an apron or wear old clothing.
