This course will cover all the essentials you need to consider before launching your own classes.
Learn how to find customers, price your classes, create lesson plans, market yourself and run your first sucessful (and profitable...) class.
This day will cover
* Can I really be a teacher?
* When & where will I teach my classes?
* How to find customers
* Setting up your classroom
* Planning your lessons - content & timings
* Trouble shooting - things will go wrong!
* Building your business
Also, I'll share with you the many tips, tricks I've learned (and even the mistakes I've made...!) whilst building a sucessful career as a crafts instructor.
I started my career with what was probably my dream job - Diamond Valuer with DeBeers, London. I continued to become a designer for some of the biggest names in the jewellery world - Asprey, Garrad & Tiffany. I have been teaching silver clay workshops since 2004, and have also written two books, including Silver Clay Workshop, and am about to publish my third - Teach !
I am a qualified Art Clay Instructor and a certified trainer for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, so you can relax and know that I will do my utmost to ensure that the time you spend with me is a positive and enjoyable learning experience.
By the end of the day you'll be ready to start planning your first class and on the first steps to a new career!
Feedback .... 'I found the day really useful, it helped me to sort my thoughts and believe that I could actually do it, not just imagine doing it! Informative, enjoyable, motivating'
