About the Course
Get an introduction to Haute Couture embroidery in our weekend workshop. Learn the technique of Tambour Beading which is widely used in International Catwalks including Chanel, Christian Dior and Valentino. Knowledge of this technique presents many possibilities when creating embroidery pieces.
The first part of the class will be to learn the chainstitch on a transparent organza with the hook in the four directions. The second part of the class will be the introduction of the buggles and seed beads. Finally you will learn how to stitch the sequins « en riviere » basic stitching for the sequins.
The aim of this Tambour Beading class is for you to feel comfortable with the hook and how to apply beads and sequins.
Please note that if you would like to pursue this technique and move on to the next level it is recommended to practise Tambour Beading in between the classes.
I have over 10 years experience of Tambour Beading and work for International Catwalk between London and Paris. I have been teaching over 7 years all over the world including Canada, England, United States and Paris. I want to transmit my knowledge so the art of embroidery stay alive and still inspire us.

I really enjoyed this class! Stephanie was so lovely which was really refreshing. She is also patient and very helpful. The technique was trickier than expected but feels great once you've cracked it. I would definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed my day with Stephanie, her teaching was excellent as was her patience. The art of tambour beading requires a lot of skill and practice. Her stories and knowledge from her very experienced background was really interesting to hear.
I am now going to practice, practice to perfect the skills she has taught me and am looking forward to attending the next workshop to learn more.
Thank you Stephanie for a wonderful day.
