Tailoring for Women: Jackets

Learn to make beautifully tailored Ready to Wear jackets and coats using a mix of machine and handcraft techniques for the high end market. Break the mould of traditionalist tailoring and use the techniques to create something directional through pattern cutting, machine construction and handcraft.

Bring your own design or work from an existing design image of your choice. Achievement on the course will depend on existing skills level. It is helpful if students have additional time that they can spend working on their garment outside the lesson, due to the labour intensive nature of the specialism. For this reason students will work on a half jacket ,but may be able to complete the full jacket depending on the pace of their progress.

Intermediate level, experience of using patterns and constructing garments required. Good hand sewing skills not essential but would be an advantage.

Refunds are not available on this booking. Start dates may be amended on request.
