Stained glass including sand blasting and glass painting

On this one week summer school, master the techniques used to design and make a traditional stained glass panel, approximately 2-3 square feet (any shape). My studio is in the garden of our beautiful Shropshire home with one and a half acres of gardens to provide inspiration for your design. I will guide you through the artistic and practical aspects of designing for stained glass then teach you the skills necessary to make it; glass selection, cutting, sandblasted and painted surface decoration then assembly with lead and solder. The course includes five days of direct tuition with a full seven days access to all studio facilities thus allowing a degree of flexibility during your stay. Accommodation can usually be arranged for you and up to three others (non-student partners welcome who might enjoy walking or exploring the other delights of the area!), charged separately, please enquire.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

All tuition and materials. Tea and coffee. The studio is close to local shops and eateries for meals.
