Glass: Traditional Leaded Panel Course (5 sessions)
Description
Learn the ancient art of stained glass with this beginners course in leaded light construction Traditional Lead Came Method You will gain the knowledge and practice the techniques required to successfully design and construct a stained glass panel. Following a set design, you will learn to cut and shape glass to a simple pattern, assemble the pieces with lead came, solder joints and waterproof with special leaded light cement. Current Course Dates: January-March 2024 Tuesdays 9 January 2024 23 January 2024 6 February 2024 5 March 2024 19 March 2024 Suitability: Adults & Age 14+ Beginners
What's included in the price?
All materials, use of tools and equipment is included. You will all be following the same design but will be able to choose the colours of glass used. Please Note: Please wear close-toed shoes. This workshop involves working with lead & lead solder so it is not advisable for pregnant/breast feeding women Refreshments are available from The Yummy Barn Cafe next door.

FAQs
Most workshops are fully inclusive of materials but please do check the listing information to make sure.
We always recommend bringing an apron or old shirt if you are doing a potentially messy activity. We do have disposable ones available if you forget.
Hot drinks are available but you are welcome to bring your own if you desire.
If you have a booked a full day workshop, lunch will usually be included. Please let us know of any dietary requirements you may have, or if you would prefer to bring your own lunch along.
We can also book tables at the Barn Café on site, on your behalf, so please ask if you would like a table before or after your workshop.

We are situated 1 mile off the A12 from the Dobbies Garden Centre roundabout.
There is parking on site.
Please go the rear of the complex and use the parking area beyond the café and antiques centre if possible.
If you required a disabled parking place, please let us know ahead of your workshop and we can arrange for a space closer the entrance.
