About the Course
During this exciting day Penny will share with you her methods for producing beautiful, small flower studies painted in oils; skills that she has honed over many years, including her period of ‘Daily Paintings’ where a piece is produced every day for a year.
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t painted in oils before, or if you are a regular painter, Penny will guide you at your own pace. The workshop will begin with a demonstration, following which you will tackle set-up and composition. As you begin your painting Penny will teach the fundamentals of under painting, tonal values, edges and colour.
Old Bank Studios offers a wide range of art, craft and textile courses and work-shops. Based in a glorious Edwardian banking hall, our fully equipped studios provide ideal spaces where students can work in a relaxed, ambient atmosphere.
