About the Course
This course can be done online or one to one at my workshop. Tools provided at my workshop or I can advise you where to buy your own.
Sessions can be booked in 4 and 8 hour blocks but can then be broken down into bite sized two hour sessions.
This helps with dealing with specific issues, time to practice and a revisit in the next session before progressing.
Whilst you can have whichever suits you best, this structure has proved the most successful so far.
Spooncarving for a day - a practical skill - Over 18s only. Available all year - usually on a Sunday but midweek can be arranged.
You have seen the advert - Plusnet - now come and experience the real thing!
On this course you will learn basic techniques of spooncarving, learn to carve green wood, the proper use of tools and basic safety with regard to tool use.
You will also learn "how to read the wood", ie how to sculpt it into the desired spoon shape as the wood will allow.
Bring your own lunch.
No places will be booked without payment being made on the day of booking.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
All tools and wood. Safety gear. If you have your own spooncarving tools you can bring these along.
