As a novice in the crafts, my knowledge base has expanded enormously by attending Alison's class. I started as a weaver but Alison managed to get me spinning - first on a drop spindle and then on the wheel. I'm so glad she took me patiently through those early stages - I know I'm a better spinner now because of her help. She has also taught me new techniques in weaving. Book learning's all very well but to work towards the best, you need to be taught by the best. I have been on my Monday evenings.

There are a range of people attending classes doing spinning, weaving and knitting so providing an opportunity to learn about different aspects of all three crafts from both people attending and Alison's instruction.

I love coming to this class. Alison patiently teaches us everything we want to know about spinning and weaving and more.

from being a complete novice, and attending Alison's monday evening course, I am now able to spin a beautiful yarn, from the fleece to the needles.
Alison's courses showed me much more that can be achieved. Dyeing techniques, fancy yarns, silk, cotton, flax etc.
also, great company with like minded people.

Excellent class to attend, you will learn all about fleece preparation and other fibres, how to spin them, dye them and weave them. Alison is a warm and friendly person and has something to offer beginners, intermediate and advanced students.

A lovely group of people. Welcoming and friendly. Alison is encouraging and patient and extremely knowledgeable. I have learnt a huge amount from her. Spinning is one of the most relaxing things I have ever done.

I wanted to learn to spin I found the details easily on line.
Alison has taught me everything I know.
I progressed quickly and can now spin lots of different types of yarn.
Alison worked at my speed and is a very patient teacher.
I have learnt a lot about fleeces and preparation so I can go from sheep to something I can wear
I would recommend Alison if you want to learn this wonderful craft
