Spatulas, spreaders and spoons workshop

X

Description

This one-day workshop aims to equip beginners and ‘casual-carvers’ with the basic knife grips and axe techniques to go away and confidently carve simple spatulas, spreaders, and spoons.

The course will be led by experienced green woodwork tutor, Tom, who will introduce you to basic axe work and carving techniques. Participants will then spend the rest of their day having a go themselves, and making a spatula, spreader and spoon.

Time permitting, Tom may also introduce alternative carving tools and more advanced techniques, and he may also invite participants for a walk through the woods to discuss how to identify and source suitable branch-wood for carving.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
