Hi, my name is Sarah and I'm a practising artist, tutor and love to create. With over 25years of experience, I use a variety of media and styles - Fine Art, Illustration, Animation, Water Colour.... and more. This course is an introduction to Sketching but with an emphasis on switching off mobile phones and taking a playful approach to learning. I keep the groups small as all learn differently.
This course introduces the world of sketching or ‘art on the go’. Ideal for all levels and abilities from absolute beginners to those who are trying to loosen up their approach to drawing. It provides a relaxed way to learn or build upon your drawing skills whilst enjoying the environment around you, whether indoors or out and about.
Sketching and drawing are fundamental to everything we do and throughout history, every great artist and designer has kept a sketchbook. A personal visual ‘journal’, offers a place to experiment, record special moments or work through your ideas for a more advanced project.
During the course, you will explore the fundamentals of drawing and observation including how to capture spontaneous and honest moments. You will use a variety of materials and techniques including pencils, pens and charcoal.
The emphasis is on ' time out for you'
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
