Explore the grounds of Micklems Farm, taking photos with your iPad or phone of areas of interest. We will be looking to combine two elements in a watercolour sketch that we will then work into with oil pastels. By blocking in the negative shapes we can pull out the details creating a loose experimental composition that can then be used as a reference sketch for a future painting. By working from a sketch rather than a photo you are freeing yourself up to work more intuitively, loosely and creatively.
