About the Course
Learn how to make a simple frame basket like that pictured using willow grown by Richard Kerwood, near the farm. You will have plenty of time to learn the techniques involved in producing beautiful, functional baskets, and leave with a completed work of your own.
Bring an apron and notebook. All other tools and willow will be provided, and each step explained by your tutor Richard Kerwood of Windrush Willows.
Course Leader - Richard Kerwood
Richard Kerwood established Windrush Willow in 1998 with his wife, Suzanne.
Windrush Willow is dedicated to growing and promoting the wonderful species of Willow. We are busily planting up 4 acres of land in Devon England with 140+ varieties of Willow, and are currently producing in excess of 250,00 Osier Rods each year.
We use friendly methods of growing our rare coloured varieties for diverse habitats, and producing beautiful bark colours for weaving with.
