Silversmithing Workshop in Scottish Highland seaside village

About the Course

Covid-19 Update: The safety and well-being of our participants and tutors is of the greatest importance to us. On all our courses, we will implement appropriate social distancing, limitation of numbers attending, supplies of masks/visors, hand wash stations and sanitiser, individual tools and scrupulous cleaning throughout. If you have any queries, please contact us prior to booking.

A three day, hands-on workshop with contemporary Silversmith, Ndidi Ekubia, from London. Participants will learn how to create their own unique cup from sheet metal using hand tools and traditional silversmithing techniques.

The course is suitable for all abilities - from beginners to those already working with silver. Numbers are kept small to allow the tutor to spend quality time with each individual. You work initially in copper, then move on to silver if you so desire.

The venue for the course is The Stables, the converted old stable block of nearby, Cromarty House. Peaceful and artistic rural surroundings with parking. Residential packages available. An engaging, inspiring and friendly course with stunning results.

If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All tools are included in the price, as is the copper you'll be working with initially. You can choose whether to stick with copper only, in which case the cost of the course comes down to £315 or graduate to silver, which means the total cost is £415.

We also provide tea, coffee, biscuits and a delicious, homemade lunch each day as part of the fee.

We can provide accommodation in our stunning building, The Old Brewery, also in Cromarty - check out our website for more info and images!
Cromarty itself is a beautiful, seaside, Highland village recently rated one of the 'top 12 places to live in Scotland' by The Sunday Times! A bustling, friendly, vibrant place full of galleries, independent shops and cafes with dolphins jumping in the Firth and dripping in history and interesting architecture. A real retreat and great place to relax and indulge your creative self!
