A brilliant day. Recently did a silk painting course for beginners. Not being able to draw at all, I was worried in case this was a problem. However, Pauline soon made us realise that you could still achieve results that even my husband commented 'looked very professional'!!!!!!!. I loved mixing the colours and learning all the different techniques. A delicious lunch was the icing on the cake.

I was given the day as a gift , and was a little apprehensive as my previous experience of silk painting was limited to one informal session with friends - and I wasn't very good at it! However, Pauline is patient and encouraging , and makes sure that everyone comes away with something they can feel proud of. Quality in everything, and attention to detail are paramount - including the refreshments and delicious lunch! A lovely experience

A well organised and very relaxing course. If you are worried about not being able to draw or about making mistakes, don’t be. This course boosts your confidence and you are supported throughout. We all came away with silk paintings we were delighted with. The handout was excellent as I didn’t have to worry about remembering everything or taking notes. I could just concentrate on what I was doing and enjoy. Refreshments provided throughout the day and lovely lunch. Can’t wait to book my next workshop!

This was an excellent day - I have done some silk tie dye work, but it was great to expand my skills, paint on silk and use gutta. Pauline is friendly, knowledgeable and very talented. Lunch was delicious and I'm looking forward to the next class!

I was given a gift voucher for one of Pauline’s workshops Being of a certain age I had never done any art work before. It didn’t feature in my school days. I had never even mixed paint so I was a bit nervous. I loved it. Pauline’s approach was both informative and encouraging. I soon felt relaxed and comfortable in a very friendly group. The morning was devoted to trying out various basics which really built up some confidence. A wonderful lunch followed and then the afternoon was devoted to painting something meaningful to take home. You could hear the silent concentration as we all worked on our projects, gentle advised and guided by Pauline where necessary. It was a fabulous day which I hope to repeat. Thank you Pauline

Six people attended Pauline's one day beginners course. This enabled Pauline to give us all the attention we needed. The content of the course was very well thought out and delivered with skill. The room used for the course is light, airy and comfortable. We were made very welcome and the course included a delicious two course lunch. All materials were supplied and by the end of the day we had all produced a sampler and a picture of tulips from a template supplied by Pauline. It was amazing how varied the results were using just three colours of silk paint. I highly recommend this course to anyone wishing to try silk painting.

I attended Pauline's course a few weeks ago. I haven't done any painting courses before so I was quite nervous but I was put at ease & as others have commented the pace was just right with lots of encouragement ! I was amazed just how different our pieces of work turned out although we worked to the same template - wonderful ! I have now started to do little pieces at home but will come back for a 'top up' of my skills.

I had a wonderful day silk painting with Pauline a couple of weeks ago, she made us all feel so welcome I her lovely home and studio. The course was well paced so that we all went home with a good knowledge of the basics and a piece of work that we could be proud of even though most of us had not done this type of work before. If it wasn't so far away for me I would be attending courses regularly but in the meantime I have continued to practice my silk painting with varying degrees of success and I do hope to go back again in the not too distant future. I highly recommend this course.

Attended Pauline's silk painting workshop yesterday 25th February 2017, I had a wonderful day and learnt such a lot, the workshop has given me great inspiration. Don't worry if you have never tried silk painting before Pauline takes you through everything step by step through the different techniques so no one is left behind, we all came home with a lovely painting. The lunch was delicious, I look forward to my next workshop with Pauline already booked in May.

I attended a Beginners workshop. Pauline was very encouraging and the small group friendly, making a lovely relaxing atmosphere. All the materials were provided for us to learn the techniques in the morning and then produce a lovely painting in the afternoon. We were all able to chat over the delicious lunch. Seeing the results from everyone was inspiring, I will definitely be using the skills learnt in the future. I would highly recommend the workshop.

I really enjoyed this day. Pauline is very warm and welcoming and the small group size made it feel really friendly. She provided a template so those of us that aren't naturally creative could produce something to take home. Taking into account the quality of the lunch, I think this course is very good value for money too.

I attended Pauline's silk painting for beginners workshop with my mum as a treat for her birthday. We both had a really fantastic day. Great atmosphere and lovely to meet others on the same workshop. Pauline was a really good teacher, very patient and encouraging and it was very rewarding to learn new skills, I was amazed at what we all produced and all so different. I would truly recommend one of Pauline's workshops a very special treat. Thankyou Pauline.

Have been to several of Pauline's workshops over the last couple of years and have enjoyed every one. Pauline is an excellent teacher and very inspirational. Small classes of around 6 people and always a delicious lunch. Cannot recommend her classes more highly, always a warm welcome, can't wait for the next one.

I cannot recommend Pauline's silk painting days highly enough. Apart from being great fun the whole experience is so therapeutic and the time flies. Pauline is truly talented and her work is stunning - I feel proud whenever I see it for sale just because I know her!!! The lunch provided is scrumptious and served in a most welcoming and homely setting. I have done several days and shall certainly be booking in for some more in the future.

I attended a beginners course several years ago and loved it.Pauline is an excellent tutor putting you at ease and making you feel comfortable in her home. I am not remotely artistic so I was rather concerned that it might be beyond me, I needn't have worried. Everything was well prepared by Pauline, templates provided and demonstrations given of the techniques we would need. What amazed me was how different everyone's project turned out and I was delighted to have produced something that I was really proud of. The lunch provided was absolutely delicious and far exceeded my expectations. Since the beginners course I have been on many, many more courses and everyone has been excellent. If you fancy trying out silk painting or if you just feel like treating yourself to a special day out, get in touch with Pauline, you won't regret it.

What a lovely day silk painting! It was thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing, plus a delicious lunch. I'm very pleased with the pieces I produced on the day, and hope to continue silk painting in the future. Thank you Pauline.

Finally, after many years seeing Pauline in action on an open studios day, I tried Silk painting under her expert tuition. She had constructed the day perfectly (no surprise as she had been teaching a fair while). People who have never painted anything can get on board quickly; those with experience in other techniques can quickly adapt their learning to this new skill. I'm looking forward to practising and then coming on her other courses.

What an amazing two days. I have waited years to go on a silk painting course, and Pauline was excellent. I had one day with the group and then a truly inspiring and wonderful day on my own. Pauline is an excellent tutor and a very generous and giving teacher.
Lunch both days was yummy too
