About Alison Allen, in her own words:
I am an experienced animal photographer.
I have a deep fascination for animal eyes and when I look into them, something stirs. It is not just a fleeting glance, but an intense stare, an emotional bond without us being aware. I believe that there is a distinct level of intelligence within an animal and that there is more going on behind their eyes than we can ever comprehend.
I like to spend time just watching the animals that I photograph and also getting to know them and their behaviour. I feel this in an important factor in getting them to accept me into their space and then they will respond better to me. I like to try and show these connections in my work.
