On this workshop you will learn how to make 2 decorative pins using polymer clay. The pins make gorgeous and unusual gifts with which to fasten a woolly wrap, decorate a knitted hat or scarf, or embellish a chunky knit.
Polymer clay is an ideal material with which to make a decorative pin as it is lightweight and therefore won't pull the garment out of shape. It can also be moulded, shaped, textured and blended to produce fabulous colours and design details, creating beautiful, wearable pieces of art!
Working with an infinite selection of colours (bring your projects so we can mix colours to match) and a variety of textures, shapes and surface patterns, your tutor, Jo, will show you how to design your pins, and work with the materials to achieve strong, durable and completely unique pieces. There will be demonstrations throughout the day and lots of advice and tips on good practice. Finishing and polishing techniques will also be covered.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
All tools and materials to make your pieces are included. You will need to bring a packed lunch and drinks for the day. Free private parking on site.
If you are unable to make a published date, please get in touch as I'm always happy to run workshops on demand. No minimum number required and no extra cost.
