About the Course
Ok folks, here we go with all the info for this fun filled creative day with Carol. She will be sharing her love of metal tape work with us all on the 19th May.
The photos are examples of Carols work and not an indication of what she will be sharing on the day.
In Carols own words.....
I have been told by the lovely Brigitte (Lets Be Creative) that there is an interest in my metal tape work and I would be happy to show you how do to this simple but effective technique. I have a special supplier of this tape, which has to be of a sufficient density to cover objects underneath, or go through an embossing folder without splitting. This technique can also be done with heavy-duty tin foil covered with double sided tape at the rear, so I can give you a few options, as the metal tape I use is expensive. I have made collages, covered boxes, covered ornaments, used it as backing for my 3d pen work (see further promotion on this subject) and even used it as hinges for card making. One of my best pieces using this tape is my Game of Thrones Jamie Lannister collar. It can be painted, sanded back, covered with black paint and rubbed off and marked with tools. Once you have mastered the technique, you will find plenty of uses for it, believe me!
I was lucky enough to win a piece of Carol’s work at Ministry of Mixology in November last year in the raffle.........it is at the barn for you all to see 😊
