About the Course
Classes for both locals and visitors to the area are offered every Saturday from 12 onwards to anyone over the age of 15 wanting to improve their skills in visual creativity. Come and try some painting and drawing, or mix it up with some collage if you prefer, learning how to express your ideas in simple and satisfyingly arty ways. Workshops last for a couple of hours and are either indoors or outside (weather permitting) at a small and supportive class in Faversham.
Lessons with Live and Love Art are suitable for all abilities and aim to improve your emotional well being by letting you imaginatively try out art materials in a friendly environment, whilst learning the basics of colour mixing and mark making. Paper, materials and ideas will all be offered to you although you are welcome to bring your own.
I have masses of experience of working with varying age groups and encourage students to take a few risks and to have some fun. I teach regular classes to a variety of age groups with a loyal student following and class places are limited to ensure maximum teacher-student contact. I also design fun art and creative textiles workshops for hen, baby shower and birthday parties and can travel to any part of Kent to deliver a tailor made creative activity for your event. I am fully DBS checked.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
Free on street parking is outside/near by. Recommend to park on the main road adjacent, as Century road where the venue is is bumpy and unmade. Refreshments, teaching, materials, seating and all equipment are included, although students are welcome to bring their own, especially a sketchbook with good quality paper.
Very relaxing, friendly and inspiring Wednesday craft classes. We have covered ceramic painting, block printing on paper (making our own blocks), stitching to make unique cards and felt flowers for fairy lights, knitting twine body mitts and making our own body scrubs. Jo is encouraging and supportive and will show you craft techniques - great if you have ever wondered or forgotten how to cast on or off! It's a wonderful way to decompress, and learn some new skills too.

Absolutely enjoyed our session today!!We had a family painting day out session at the beautiful setting by the creek. My 8yrs and 6yrs daughters love art and craft but I know nothing about art. There are a lot of places running art and craft activities during the summer holiday, but we wanted to go one step further, learning some painting skills as much as having fun. Jo was very friendly, knowledgeable tutor and very patient with my youngest daughter who was trying to go her own way.
This is the wonderful way of spending time with our children and we will definitely book another session soon.Thank you very much.

Thoroughly enjoyed my day with Jo and two lovely ladies who welcomed me into their home for the day. I hadn't touched a sewing machine in over 30 years but Jo is very knowledgeable and patient so my renewed experience of using the machine was stress free and I now feel I have the confidence to use my very antiquated Singer machine at home. Jo provided a variety of interesting materials and inspiration to enable me to experiment and produce a piece to be proud of. Thank you :O)

A really great course. My friend and I went together and were very pleased with the reverse applique pieces that we created. The tutor was very friendly, knowledgable and supportive. A wide choice of interesting materials were provided, and plenty of inspiration which encouraged me to experiment with different ideas and techniques. Can't wait for the next one. Thank you!

So enjoyed this course in a beautiful garden room setting. Jo is an incredibly knowledgable talented tutor, who has a very supportive encouraging way about her. Great choice of resources to choose from, as well as advise on how to use your own resources to best effect. Thank you, looking forward to the next one
