This 4-day online sketch workshop looks at depicting architecture and urban landscapes. Held live from Fairycroft House in Saffron Walden, Tuesday to Friday, 6-9 April 2021, it looks at how to create imaginative, intuitive configurations and explores lots of options for adding colour to your work. Saffron Walden is an ideal location for this course, with varied and beautiful architecture. The course is made up of 4 parts, each of which should take you around 4-5 hours to complete. Everything is presented in logical steps that are easy to follow and also includes separate additional instructions for students who choose to work digitally.

High quality course notes presented online (using prezi software) including lots of visual images and how-to videos. Zoom sessions 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-15:30 each day. In order that you can have the maximum benefit from this course, all course materials (including recordings of the zoom sessions) are available for you to refer to for up to 3 months after the end of the course.
A good quality cartridge paper sketchbook (140gsm or above), or loose sheets of cartridge paper, 2B pencils, rubber, pigment fine liners (or equivalent) in varying thicknesses, a small set of watercolours, any coloured pencils and pens that you already have in your art kit (including at least 1 red fineliner.
