About the Course

Create your own beautiful and uniquely crafted rustic chair. First you will learn how to select the appropriate material to make a chair from coppiced hazel and other small diameter greenwood. Various construction techniques will then be discussed and demonstrated including mortice and tenon- simple but effective methods to create your chair. The base and back of the chair will be woven using a choice of materials including elm bark, willow or paper rush.

What's included in the price?

Tea & coffee is provided throughout the day on a self-service basis, drinking water is also available. The course will break for lunch where soup & bread rolls will be served followed by a selection of cakes. Ours soups are always vegan and gluten free. We can cater for most dietary requirements including gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan. We have an excellent coffee shop on site that provides our catering, you are of course able to purchase from them at any time throughout the day (their hours are 0830 to 1700).

Accommodation can also be reserved. Basic huts are £15 per night and the Eco Pod is £17.50 per night (single occupancy).
