About the Course
Do you have old t-shirts lurking in your closets and taking up space? Time to go into spring cleaning mode and to repurpose these t-shirts that you don’t wear anymore.
A crochet yarn bowl is the perfect project to get you started on this quick and easy fabric recycling technique.
Please bring with you:
♦ Old Tshirt(s) – 1 man’s Tshirt (Large) is enough to make a yarn bowl; 2 women’s vests are too. Bring as many as you like to mix and match! Important: the appearance of the fabric must be different on the inside and outside and look like stocking stitch in knitting – get in touch if you’re not sure!
♦ Good fabric scissors.
♦ A small ruler.
♦ If you have one, bring your cutting mat to help protect the table.
♦ A 15mm crochet hook (available to purchase from Ammonite Yarns on the day).
♦ A button, min. diameter 2cm (3/4”), matching or contrasting the colour of your Tshirt.
♦ Sewing thread(s), one matching the colour of your Tshirt, the other one either matching or contrasting the colour of your button – don’t worry too much about these if you don’t have any, I will bring my extensive thread collection for you to choose from!
Level: suitable for crocheters who can make very basic stitches.
