If you have ever fancied having a go at learning how to make a rag rug or want to get started again then this is the ideal workshop for you.
Together we will create a small piece of work to get you started to enable you to create a piece that can be worked on at your own leisure and made into a cushion/ a bag/ wall hanging or anything you choose.
You are most welcome to start on a larger project if you wish to work on it on your own. Or if you prefer to provide a longer online workshop please contact me to discuss.
If you have a specific date in mind please contact me in advance of booking a place
The online workshop is suitable for all levels of experience (please note that you will need to have good hand dexterity as there is a lot of twisting and pulling and scissor movements).
We will arrange a date for us to meet each other in my virtual workshop.
If you would like to invite some friends please let me know their names, each of you will need to purchase your own workshop
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
I will send you a kit that includes a piece of a hessian and a selection of materials to experiment with some new and some recycled, an American rag rug hook, homemade peg prodder, and written instructions. We will then arrange a 3-hour online session via zoom to get you started
You will need to provide your own scissors and needles and thread. If you have your own fabric /material that you want to use as well that is most welcome. Its a great way to use up fabric that you like.
To be able to take part you will need a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone. Further details will be included in the information that I send you.
