Learn the vintage craft of rag-rug making. During the workshop Jenni will demonstrate the traditional technique and podging/progging strips of fabric through hessian backing to make rugs, wall hangings and seat mats.
At the end of the day you will take home your own unique sampler and a wealth of ideas for making more rag rug creations at home.
Rag rugs were traditionally made from family items of clothing so feel free to bring along old tee shirts or cotton items or bedding to recycle and help personalise your creation (a carrier bag full).
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
A piece of hessian backing. Rug tools available to use and buy if you wish (or bring Granny's).

Really enjoyed the day. Jenni explains everything very clearly and she was on hand all day to answer questions. She showed us examples of her work and was very supportive. The group was relatively small, which actually made it even nicer!
Response from Jenni's Rag Rugs:
It's easier to help individuals with a small group. I enjoyed the day too with such interesting women who worked hard at their progging and hooking.Great course very inspirational
Jenni's courses are such a treat and so inspirational. This course is set in the most beautiful tranquil location and the lunch is amazing. The course is very well taught and provides the perfect balance of teaching, free practice and individual tuition. Jenni is very helpful but not overbearing or bossy!
This is my second course with Jenni and I have loved both of them. Thank you
Have ever thought about a rag rug making course? Will I can highly recommend jenni's rag rug course it is fantastic. Great Course - I am now hooked and rag rugging away merrily! Jenni's
instructions very clear and tips on how to combine different colours and
weights of textiles helpful. The day flew by and we learned progging as well
as hooked rugs - inspirational !. Setting very pleasant with plenty of light
to work by, congenial company and delicious refreshments, a real treat.
