About the Course

Craft in our time

Craft can offer many experiences - a sense of creativity, inspiration and imagination, a means of learning through making and a deep sense of empowerment and value.

The Practical Skills Teacher Development Course PSTDC aims to inspire, offer an opportunity for re-development and re-deployment of skills already acquired. Deepen our understanding of both the educational and therapeutic opportunities and value for the practice of traditional craftwork and learning through making.

This is a 'hands-on course' introducing principles of Practice & Experience around seven traditional crafts - Fleece to Felt, Skin to Leather, Willow Basketry, Green Woodwork, Clay to Pots & Pit-forge Blacksmithing & Stained Glass.

“Education is a process where the senses inform the mind through doing.”

If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
