This course is designed for beginners who want to explore the basics of punch needle rug hooking. It is a fast and easy craft to learn. You’ll make a beautiful 8” mat that may be used as a trivet, wall hanging, or table top decoration. By doing this you’ll learn everything necessary to hook larger rugs.
The Oxford Punch Needle can be described as the “gold standard” in punch needle rug hooking. It was designed in 1995, by Amy Oxford, a well known rug hooker from Vermont, USA. Because of the design and functionality, the loops are created more evenly than using a traditional rug hook. It was also designed to be ergonomically friendly which means it is easier on your hands.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
Tuition and materials are included with the course fee. At the end of the day you will have the option to purchase the equipment you have used during the workshop so you can continue with this absorbing craft when you return home.
Refreshments are available for purchase from our cafe downstairs. All our food is freshly prepared using local ingredients.
