My hubby and I spent the most fantastic afternoon with Nadia and 5 other students at the beginning of September. Our first time to throw, we knew nothing. Nadia’s calm and patient teaching had us moulding the raw clay, centering, shaping and creating. You’ll have your own wheel and tools and great opportunity to create something to take home, under Nadia’s wing. A beautiful studio, wonderful garden and delicious cake set the scene. We’re hooked and very keen to find ways to “throw” again - thank you Nadia for a wonderful experience.

My husband and I attended a pottery workshop as a birthday present to him. He had done a little throwing before, I'd not done much. Nadia was very welcoming and an excellent teacher. She gave us tips and spotted the various (numerous) mistakes, and helped correct them. The workshop is great: beautiful setting and we'll equipped. We made a few pieces and are waiting with anticipation to see how they fare in the kiln. It was a wonderful, relaxing and inspiring afternoon and I hope we'll be back another time.

I brought two spaces on this course as a present for my dad and I to do together. Such a lovely location. We had a really great day and would highly recommend.

A brilliant way to spend an afternoon. Hope to be back to try and improve on my potting skills! Looking forward to seeing the end result.

Such a lovely afternoon. Thank you Nadia for taking the time with us to explain how to get the basics right. It was a tricky process and great fun to experiment with making our own pots. Nadia makes it look easy!
The gorgeous homemade chocolate cake was a bonus and I can't wait to see my final pieces after they've been fired!

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas after we both became hooked on the Great Pottery Throw Down. We both had a fantastic afternoon. It was much, much more difficult than it looks (of course!) but Nadia dealt with our many questions (and vast mess making!) with considerable patience and good humour. Lovely setting and modern equipment - highly recommended!

I booked this course as a Christmas present for my 11 year old and i to do together.
The course exceeded expectation and we had the loveliest afternoon.
We all had a wheel each so a full afternoon throwing and Nadia was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic and nothing was to much to ask. She also makes a delicious chocolate cake!
We will certainly be returning for another afternoon.
Thanks so much Nadia.

Nadia demonstrated the processes involved in throwing a basic pot on the wheel. We were then able to put this into practice on our own wheels with satisfyingly good results. If at any time we were unsure of the process or our abilities Nadia was more than happy to guide us in her friendly, gentle way.
Lovely day all round in which we learnt a lot.
Now how much was that pottter's wheel on eBay?...

I would thoroughly recommend this course. Each person had their own wheel, unlimited clay and recieved plenty of individual attention when required from Nadia. It was a really enjoyable, relaxed afternoon punctuated with tea and lovely homemade cake. I will definitely be returning!
