Pottery throwing for the beginner. One to one sessions.

Pottery throwing for the beginner. One to one sessions.

A one on one introduction to throwing, that will focus on clay preparation, centring the clay, and forming a cylinder. After giving you a short introduction to Pottery, I will give you a demonstration that will focus on the most important basics of throwing particularly posture and hand positioning. Then it's your turn to have your first experience of working with clay on the wheel.

You are welcome to bring a friend to watch and take photos, we live in a lovely rural part of Hampshire with great walks close by. The course makes an ideal Birthday present, and can be the basis for a nice day out.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

Tools, coffee, and a biscuit for the star pupils ( no pressure!)

Clay is free for the first session and charged for after that, or you can bring your own. Glazing and firing charges for up to 2 pots per session.
