My wife and I have been on two raku days which we thoroughly enjoyed - please see my wife's review on Jane's raku course. Jane also gave me half a day's instruction on throwing, something I have only had a go at once before. She explained how to centre, how to use my hands as tools, helping me apply the correct amount of pressure, how to brace arms against the wheel and how to feel and understand the nature of the clay. By the end, and with her expert hands-on help, I had successfully thrown two pots and feel I have the confidence and knowledge to practice on my own. I can highly recommend this course.

I had such a fantastic and creative time with Jane and the other potters, I came for the morning session and stayed for the whole day!
Jane is a great teacher. She made me feel very relaxed despite my lack of experience. I came away with two beautiful hares that I was capable of producing. Jane encouraged me to watch the raku process and everyone shared in everyone's successes. A lovely group of people in a relaxing setting. The groups meet weekly but were very welcoming to a visitor passing through. I would strongly encourage anyone to go along - whatever you consider your skill level to be. I learnt such a lot about the how's and why's of pottery through Jane's infectious, joyful passion for her medium and her own pieces are just stunning. My only regret... I live 300 miles away so can't go back every week!
