POP-UP PAPER ENGINEERING WORKSHOP. Sunday 16 November 9.45 am – 4.00 pm. £85.00 including refreshments, lunch, all materials, use of equipment on the day, tutoring & certificate of completion. This full-day group workshop with our guest artist and printmaker, Sue Welfare, is suitable for all skill levels - don't worry if you're not confident at drawing, there will be plenty of other options and images to use in your designs! Discover the magic of pop-ups in this fun and creative introductory workshop! Whether you’re looking to create unique cards, miniature books, or stand-alone projects, this workshop will introduce you to simple pop-up mechanisms that can be transformed into your own exquisite miniature worlds. During the workshop, you’ll have the chance to: - Learn the basics of pop-up mechanisms. - Create your own designs using drawing, painting, or collage techniques. - Experiment with repurposed materials like children’s books, greeting cards, magazines, and catalogues. Sue will provide plenty of materials, including paper, glue, watercolours, and basic cutting tools, as well as a collection of collage supplies to inspire your creativity. Feel free to bring along your own paints, drawing materials, or collage resources if you have something special in mind. We will provide aprons to protect your clothes or you can bring your own. Do bring along any old books, cards or images that you'd like to incorporate into your designs. This FULL DAY POP-UP PAPER WORKSHOP will be held in the peaceful setting of our Blended Monkey studios on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border. Numbers are limited to ensure you get plenty of 1-2-1 tuition. This experience is suitable for 16+. About a week before your workshop date, we'll e-mail you again with more details about parking etc. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and also a lovely lunch - tailored to meet all dietary requirements. All students will be provided with a certificate of completion. This would make a fabulous CRAFTY GIFT for someone 🎁 The full-day workshop includes: - Materials & use of equipment on the day. - Refreshments (tea/coffee/soft drinks/cake) & lunch - catering to all dietary requirements. - As we limit the number of people, you get to have some 1-2-1 tuition and the maximum benefit from a day with no distractions. - Certificate of completion. We also offer accommodation in the form of our Crafter's Retreat cabin subject to availability or we can advise of other local B&Bs.

What's included in the price?

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and a light, rustic farmhouse-style lunch is also included; tailored to meet all dietary requirements. Depending on the weather/time of year, lunch can be taken either out in the cottage garden or in our country kitchen which has a view over the garden. The 1-day workshop includes: - All tools, materials and personal eye protection equipment. - Refreshments (tea/coffee/soft drinks) and a light, rustic farmhouse-style lunch - catering to all dietary requirements. - As we limit the number of people to 6, you get to have some 1-2-1 tuition and the maximum benefit from a day with no distractions. - All work can be taken home. - Certificate of completion.

Blended Monkey is a husband and wife team. Our studios are based in a small village on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border. Our setting provides ample inspiration for our work, and is perfect for our woodturning & pottery courses. Louise (ceramicist) - I studied at the Falmouth School of Art & Design and I am interested in various art forms, design and applied arts. Simon (woodturner) - I love working with wood & exploring its versatility. I'm a member of the AWGB and APTGW.
