About the Course

'Mokume Gane' is a Japanese term which refers to layering metals to achieve a wood grain effect. We will explore the technique by combining thin sheets of your favourite colours into a clay stack. We will then impress an intricate pattern and, using finely cut layers, create a set of 3D, gently domed disc beads. Once cured, we will sand and string them to make a stunning necklace and matching earrings.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

Polymer clay, tools, equipment and refreshments are all included. You will need to bring a pack lunch.

If you are unable to make a published date, please get in touch as I'm always happy to run workshops on demand. No minimum number required and no extra cost.
