Do you want to create one of your own designs and translate it into a picture using the combined techniques of fabric collage with both machine and hand embroidery? Then this is your course!
At the start of the course you will be guided through a project ( a ' Learning Pack ' ) which your tutor has designed for you. Learn Richard Box's renowned combined technique of fabric collage with both machine and hand embroidery. Plans, patterns and materials will be provided free of charge in this ' Learning Pack '.
Once you have experienced the process of combining the techniques of fabric collage with machine and hand embroidery you will then be able to start interpreting your own designs in this way with the materials which you will need to bring with you.
Richard Box is an artist and art historian. He has painted in oils and watercolours for many years and is now exploring acrylics. He has been developing his textile art ever since 1964 and he has written seven books, one of which is still in print - 'Basic Drawing Techniques'.
