Course Start DatesSaturday 25th January 2020
About the Course
How to design, plan and make a complete frame from scratch. Present or conserve your picture or artwork in a professional and dynamic way.
Suitable for artists and photographers, anyone wanting to receive support in honing current skills and those interested in setting up a home business.
We are based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and this is where most of our workshops take place. However, we do offer our workshop at venues across the country. Please enquire using the 'Contact' form above with regard to the locations of our workshops and availability of places.
Through clear explanation, demonstration and hands on practice using specialised tools you will: plan and cut a mount, attach artwork into the mount system, saw and join moulding, cut glass and backing board, assemble the framing package for hanging and add a finish to the frame.
Experience of using hand tools is not required - the workshop is aimed at both complete novices and those who have previously framed work.
We are a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild and our tutors are all Guild Certified Framers.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
You should bring with you an A4 (297x210mm) size, or smaller, picture or photo on paper (not board) for framing.
We provide all other tools, materials, tea and coffee.
