Photo to stitch course - four sessions

A set of four, monthly classes during which you will explore translating photos into hand embroidery creating personal textile artwork. Please be aware that this is for four session, on the last Tuesday of the month. The cost shown is the total cost.

The classes teach you a range of techniques to create designs from photographs (no drawing skills necessary!) and how to transfer the designs on to fabrics and other materials. You will discover how to create suitable backgrounds to add to the narrative of your embroidered photograph, not just in fabric but other materials as well, including paper, wood and more. A selection of textile techniques including applique and fabric manipulation will be taught for you to consider using in your artwork. By the end of the classes, you will have learnt a range of hand embroidery techniques and stitches as well as created at least one finished stitched photograph that is unique to you.
