This fantastic course is the perfect way to experience the joy of learning to cast pewter to fit around your life and in your own timescale. Learn at Home in Your Own Time.
The kit provided ensures you not only have everything you need to complete the course but also so that you can carry on creating amazing pewter pieces afterwards. This exciting process involves making and using moulds, melting and pouring the pewter, finishing and polishing your design, and turning it into jewellery. By the end of the workshop you will have completed 4-6 pieces in a variety of techniques, finishes and styles.
This series of exercises is the equivalent of a full day course (including making time) and will enable you to feel confident enough to keep making it on your own afterwards. If you need any help at any point I can be available on email and WhatsApp so you're never on your own! And even if you have any questions or need help after the course you can always get in contact. I love to help and hear from the lovely people on my workshops.
Please allow 7 - 10 days for delivery of your kit.
All your materials and tools are included as well as all the video tutorials that you will need. Help is also available by WhatApp and email.
A clean, safe place to work when using the provided blow torch on a heat mat. A drill (a hand drill is fine if you do not have a power tool), a scrap piece of wood to drill onto, a craft knife and mat or scissors, hammer and centre punch and a pair of pliers if you have them (don't worry if not). A WiFi connection and access to a computer large enough to view the tutorials clearly and with the ability to play sound.

The course was so much fun. Rachel is a great teacher, really knowledgeable and friendly.
It was fantastic to get stuck in and making my first item straight away, I got to try lots of different techniques and tools. There really is all you can drink tea & coffee too and lunch was superb.
I came away with so many beautiful items and the confidence and skills to to have a go at home.
Can't wait to book the next course!
Response from Gifted Crafts Company:Thank you so much Vikki and for a fab day. You made such beautiful pieces. Look forward to seeing you again! All the very best.
The course was fantastic - I came home with some beautiful pieces. I'm not sure if I can bear to give them away as Christmas gifts though, which was my intention! Everything was laid out so simply and Rachel's instructions/guidance were superb all throughout. We tried so many different techniques - I actually can't believe the items I made. Homemade bread and shortbread for lunch topped the day off perfectly! I will absolutely be doing some of her other courses soon.
Response from Gifted Crafts Company:A huge well done and thank you. Your pieces were definitely too lovely to give away!
The course was the most fun I've had in years. Right from the start Rachel had me pouring pewter into moulds, it was the full-day course so we had time to have a go at loads of techniques and ways of casting. Everything was explained fully and you were hands-on most of the time. The lunch was superb, constant tea as it says in the introduction but best of all lots and lots of time to spend making, for instance you cast a pendant then you drill a hole in it, then make a ring for it and select a chain to hang it from. I'm starting to make my own casts now and it's great.
Response from Gifted Crafts Company:You did so well with your pewter Al. Can’t wait to see what you do at home. Thanks so much. Rach
Now 75 I had never made jewellery before. I moulded, heated, cut and polished some pewter and then I engraved it with initials and a logo and it now adorns my keyring. Rachel was a brilliant teacher and very enthusiastic and patient. I shall certainly join a group again when I make another visit.
Response from Gifted Crafts Company:Thank Keith. And well done. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
Rachel has a lovely set-up for many crafts. She is a great teacher and communicates her skills well in a happy and relaxed atmosphere. We were there with the family and you soon get caught up with making lovely things.
