About the Course

As a beginners course you will learn the art of patternmaking from a London College of Fashion Graduate. You will practice how to use specialist equipment, pattern terminology and how to draw with accuracy and confidence the correct information that should be on finished patterns.

Working from a size 12 block, learn how to make a shirt, drafting your own collar, cuff and button stand. You will learn the concept of bodice dart manipulation to create different style lines and seams, you will also learn how to add fullness through gathers and pleats on a garment.

From this course you will have made a bespoke size 12 shirt from the fabric you supply with your choice of style lines, pleats or gathers.
