Get ready to go couture!

A fun, fast and exciting way of creating figure hugging patterns.

Get ready to master the mannequin! Contour Pattern Cutting will help you raise your mannequin game thanks to an intensive workshop of pattern cutting, sewing and structuring. You will create a figure hugging design, ideal for bridal, evening wear and / or corsetry.


**Please note: If you would like to make your own size, you are more than welcome to bring along your our mannequin (adjustable). We will only have random sizes to work on for the day.
This pattern cutting pocess can only be done 'on the mannequin' and can not be done to personal measurements.

Workshop Breakdown

- create your design
- draft off patterns
- cut out your garment
- sew up your garment
- learn about materials used for supportive garments
- inserting boning

It is advisable that you have attended our Intro to sewing workshop beforehand or have used a sewing machine before. Or you may find this workshop too difficult and may fall behind.

We will now be reducing the size of the workshop from 5 people to 3 people per class, to adhere to the social distancing measures. As we are reducing the class numbers, it is important that students adhere and respect our cancellation policy, until we can get business back to normal, and teach at the required capacity.

On entering, we will have sanitiser stations for you to freshen up. All machinery, sewing stations, and tools you will be using, will be sanitised before you arrive, and between each session.
At your sewing station you will also have sanitiser wipes, should you feel you need to use them.
Our lavatories are communal, but they will be supplied with sanitiser wipes, hand wash and disposable towels

What do I need to bring?
1.5 metres of your own fabric
5 metres of boning
5 metres of 1.5cm wide cotton bias binding.

(boning and bias binding can be purchased at the workshop.)

Please note: Doors close 15 minutes after the start time on all workshops. No free reschedules or refunds to latecomers.

Workshop duration:
This is a 7 hour workshop. Classes start promptly, so make sure you are on time.

Age restrictions:
This workshop is suitable for 14 years and above. All students under the age of 17, must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
