Paper Porcelain

Course summary:

This exciting course will appeal to anyone who is interested in creating 3D sculptures, forms and vessels. Working with paper porcelain, you will learn how to create complex structures and how to introduce a range of textures using a variety of methods and materials.

A versatile medium, you will be able to run away creatively with the support of Tamar to create an object of your choice to proudly display at home.

At the end of the session Tamar will take your work back to her studio to be fired and arrangements will be made to return the work to you.

No previous experience is needed to join this course.

Tutor biography:

Tamar Rose is a Sussex based ceramic artist and designer-maker who divides her time between making, exhibiting and teaching. Her range of contemporary porcelain is born of a fascination with dramatic forms – their textures, movement, contrasts and silhouettes.

Having completed a degree at Harrow, Tamar has been actively involved in setting up a community studio, been accepted as a member of the Sussex Guild, exhibited at “The Ceramic House” as part of the Open Houses project in Brighton, which includes Shoreham, Seaford and Worthing, and more recently was made a member of the Craft Potters Association.

Tamar’s original and unique ceramic pieces have been sought by collectors all over Europe and the United States. Her work can also be found in a selection of galleries within the UK.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
