Had an absolutely fantastic time on the course yesterday. Rosie is an absolute delight who made me feel so welcome from the moment I arrived. I was extremely fortunate to be the only one on the course so it really felt like I was on the receiving end of some excellent information, though I’m sure it’s just as enjoyable if there is a group of you as well. Rosie is a font of knowledge and the course runs through all of the background about soap history, the equipment and the chemistry involved, why Rosie doesn’t use any palm oil in her soaps and a wealth of other information. I also enjoyed a delicious lunch and snacks and we had a good natter over a cup of tea! My soaps were carefully packaged up for me to take home and I cannot wait for them to cure so I can try them out. I thoroughly recommend this course and would love to have a go on her skincare workshop when I can.

Response from Organik Orangutan:Hi Marisa
It was lovely to meet you and hearing all about your family and your 'going green' efforts. I really enjoyed reading your blog about your day afterwards. https://thenatigerjumpedout.wordpress.com/
I look forward to seeing you in a skincare workshop soon. Rosie
Rosie was kind enough to do a bespoke 121 course for me covering beautiful, organic, palm oil free soap making, skincare, oils and body butter and compliance for business purposes.
We fitted an awful lot into the day along with delicious homemade lunch and snacks as well as a walk around Rosies beautiful grounds meeting her fantastic extended family of sheep, goats and horse with the dogs.
Rosie is very knowledgable and if youre interested in aquiring these skills and keen to focus on organic, natural and ethical methods I would highly recommend you book a course with Organik Orangutan.

What a fabulous day ! I have learnt so much today as Rosie is such a calm and gentle teacher for whom no question is a silly one. She has provided me with detailed information about how to make soap and the health and safety issues involved - not to mention tea/coffee/cakes all day and a lovely lunch. I have made some amazing soaps under Rosie's expert guidance and can't wait to be able to use them ( maybe gift some - if I can bear to). They smell and look amazing - another fabulous day - will be booking the organic skin care course soon - Thank you rosie .

Lovely to see you again, you're a great student. The soaps you made are amazing really looking forward to seeing them when they're out of their moulds. Yes, please do come back for the Skincare workshop, look forward to seeing you then. Rosie
I had a wonderful day today making ethical soaps, being guided and taught by Rosie who is an excellent teacher and host. Her manual covers the basic in's and out's of soap making, easy to follow, in word and pictures as well as helful additional information at the back. She freely offers advice and tips regarding the whole process of soap making and more. This course is excellent value for money. If you want to learn how to make soap at home, this is the best place to start!
Inspiring teacher in an inspiring country side with lots of her animals to enjoy in the lunch break.

My daughter and I attended Rosie's soap making course yesterday. We had a fantastic time!
Rosie is an excellent tutor and explains really carefully all you need to know about soap making. We were proud of our achievements as we came away with two big batches of soap that we made under her attentive supervision. In the morning we made unscented and in the afternoon, after carefully selecting essential oils, we made scented.
Not only is Rosie a superb tutor but also a welcoming and generous host, plying us with proper leaf tea, proper ground coffee, cakes and biscuits throughout the day. She even provided us with lunch.
Rosie holds her courses in the beautiful Shropshire countryside and enjoys letting you meet all her animals which is a real bonus to an already lovely experience.

Response from Organik Orangutan:Thank you Nasim it was lovely to meet you and Sana. Hope you enjoy your soap making journey. Best wishes Rosie
I attended (with 3 family members) the ‘Palm Oil Free Organic Soap Making Workshop’ with Rosie yesterday. We had a fantastic day and came home with an array of the most beautiful soaps! Rosie made us very welcomed and looked after us so well including providing a delicious lunch (taking into account our dietary requirements, as we are all vegan), drinks all day and lovely vegan chocolate cake! We learnt so much and were provided with everything we needed, plus a huge choice of textures/colours/oils to choose from to add to each batch of soap making them each individual.
This workshop is suitable for beginners (like us) and we have left with an understanding and instructions of how to make our own soaps at home safely and following guidelines which will enable us to make beautiful creations that are fit for purpose. I can’t wait to start making our own soaps!
It was also lovely to meet all of Rosie’s animals, hear their stories and walk around the stunning grounds. The energetic Del-Boy and gentle Lizzie provided great company / entertainment at every opportunity!
Rosie has a wealth of knowledge and expertise and it was fantastic to learn a new craft with her and I can’t wait to go to another of her workshops. I would recommend this workshop for anyone with an interest in soap making or as a gift, which would be a lovely way to spend a day.
