Painting Woodland Scenes using Watercolours and Pencils

using 3 colours

Have you ever walked through your local woodland and really paid attention to the huge variety of greens and browns in nature? Mixing paints when trying to express these images through through your artwork can be quite challenging.

Local artist, Christina Rossman, will help you to create the correct hues using just 3 colours. You'll then spend the day exploring light and shadows in the ancient woodland of Nower Wood. She will also help you to develop textures in your artwork by using pencils and various watercolour techniques.

Nower Wood is the perfect venue for art classes. When the weather is fine, delegates are welcome to go out into the woods for an immersive artistic experience. While, for those who are not quite as adventurous or the rain dampens the day, our classroom with wide double doors and a large decking area overlooks an expanse of woods providing true inspiration.
