About the Course

Line and Wash Painting Workshop in the Yorkshire Dales with John Harrison

A relaxed, interactive, informal day delving into the mysteries of line and wash in John's unique style. Broadrake, in the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park has amazing views all around and no shortage of inspirational subject matter.

The day will cover outdoor sketching, ink drawing and application of light watercolour washes to create a loose lively painting (or three), running from 10.00am. to 4.00pm. with a break for lunch.

John is Yorkshire born and bred, proud of his home county which provides the inspiration for much of his work. He specialises in line and wash, a style which superbly captures the beauty and atmosphere of Yorkshire's landscape, towns and villages.

John now has a monthly page in the popular 'Dalesman' magazine since his style works so well for the landscape and buildings of the Yorkshire Dales, as well as the East Yorkshire coast.
