About the Course
This is a course to introduce you into the amazing world of fired paint on glass.
Suitable for complete beginners and perfect for those who wants to bring their stained glass practice into another level.
On this course we'll cover the basis of working with glass paint: how to mix glass paint, various painting techniques, and kiln firing.
During the first day each student will have the chance to paint several tests to practice different techniques.
The second day we'll study the results and we'll paint a bigger project.
This last work will be fired overnight and can be collected the week after or you can arrange it to be posted to your home.
Small groups (max 5 students) for plenty of personal tuition.
Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00, with a 30 min. break for lunch.
As we are working with lead based paint this course is not suitable for pregnant or nursing women.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

A fun weekend developing my interest . David was very welcoming & interesting. The studio was well equipped. I would definitely do another course with David
Ruth Robertson - - #11284
David created a great atmosphere for learning, experimenting and having fun. A steep learning curve for a beginner like me, but everyone achieved some vital and powerful works, through being encouraged to engage with their own creativity. David has so much experience and artistic integrity to pass on. Would love to do another week end.
Jacqui - - #11282
Really enjoyed this course, David taught it really well with just the right measure of guidance and allowing you to make your own discoveries.
I have learnt some valuable new skills, just need to work on them now - I feel it has opened up a new area of hot glass work for me to try.
